In my spare time, I like to make candles, and this candle is the best one yet. Do you notice the strata? That’s created by the different layers of bacon grease–the lighter ones are regular bacon, and the darker stripes are maple bacon. It exudes a lovely, comforting smell when lit. I use, and recommend, Farmer John Thick-Cut Bacon, both for eating and creating your own alternative to odorless, boring electricity.
Want one? Just drop off a pound of the aforementioned bacon, a small glass jar (with lid) of your choice, and $2 (for candle wicks). I’ll have it done in a few days. You must be located in the Los Angeles area. Further decoration is available, just bring a jar of Baco-Bits.
